Despite having my previous design for a new restaurant trashed (Dicarded Design Thrown in the Trash), yesterday I put the final touches on the site that has been up and running for about five months now. Overall, I am happy with the outcome, as it makes the client happy and did not end up too shabby.
I did not have any input on the photography supplied for use on the site, nor was I permitted to take any of my own.
In addition, toward the tail end of the project, I had a third party designer trying to muscle in on my territory using some nepotistic connections, which I quite forcefully quelled.
Despite the above average number of obstacles that I had to overcome on this project, I think it ends up doing a decent job for the restaurant.
So feel free to check it out: Park Cities Prime.
I would be interested to hear any feedback that you might have.
Love it. I think the layout and font are perfect for the style of restaurant, and I think the patron photos are funny.
BTW, there is a sentence on the “private parties” page that doesn’t entirely make sense.
The site is nice and easy to navigate. I have a sudden hankering now for Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes (2) with Spicy Avocado Sauce and Wild Rice .
The “red wine” color of the background is perfect. Now I want a steak and some good merlot. Nice site. I would have liked more pictures.
Kelly (crickie): Thank you. Those are some amusing patron’s photos. I will check out the nonsense inhabiting the Private Parties page on Monday. Thanks for the heads up! Would you eat there?
Chickie: Thank you, I am glad that you found it easy to navigate. Are you not currently in Texas somewhere? You could possibly stop by to satisfy your craving for Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes (2) with Spicy Avocado Sauce and Wild Rice . Personally, crab gives me shivers (not the good kind).
Mom: I am glad that you like the “red wine” color. Originally, it was black, but that was a little too dark. I thought that the red wine would give a dark but not too dark feel and suit the site very well. Thank you for noticing. You know Park Cities Prime is not that far away if you have that hankering for steak and a good merlot. Amy and I would be happy to tag along if George is shouting ![]()
