I got a decent pay raise today. If you asked me, my wife, my parents, inlaws, friends, associates, and random people off the street, they’d tell you I’m still under paid… but I am, at the most, satisfied with what I got, considering what I am working with.
Speaking of my inlaws, we were at their place last weekend and I snapped several shots of their garden, two of which I am very happy with:

Congratulations on the raise! Woo Hoo!
I like that leaf detail very much! ![]()
Congratulations on the pay raise! I’m sure it was well deserved and hard earned. What kind of plant is that second one??
Another Shrubbery!

Congratulations Scott!!! You do deserve much more!! (And I’m not predjudiced or anything.)
The plant with the purple leaves is Persian Shield. The other one is Hidden Ginger, although it looks more like a banana tree right now. I’m hoping for blooms next spring since this is it’s first year. The Persian Shield doesn’t bloom, but it’s still very ornamental.
I looked at the scarifications on the ginger, and can’t figure out what is causing it. No obvious pest, but maybe it’s because of the Miracle grow. Who knows?
“Yay!” for raises!
Kelly: Thank you for the congrats and the hilarious shrubbery hookup!
Mom: Thanks Mom, much appreciated. More is coming my way, I know it. It isn’t where I am currently, but its just a matter of time.
The scarifications are really odd because they are so uniform.
Chickie: Yay for raises indeed!
