I have a whole herd on lizards living on my back porch and in the greenery that you will find there.
I’m serious.
Make any sudden moves while you are out there and you might cause them to stampede - the ground to tremble, the windows to shake, and small animals and children to whine for their mothers.
Besides their propensity to stampede, my lizards are otherwise very confident and bold.
Fearless is probably a better word.
They’ll sit on the windows, the plants, scoot around on the concrete paying you naught attention.
Unless they are bored. At which time they will just sit and stare.
They even come into the house and run the gambit against the cats.
Which takes some serious balls.
Today I was taking a screen shot of my desktop to post on The Scott English Show. The wall paper on my desktop is a relaxing photo of some bright green foliage. It helps me to de-stress when I am at work.
Imagine my shock when just as I was about to take the screen shot, a lizard skittered up across the face of my monitor!
The little bugger then promptly scooted back down my monitor, onto my desk and then off the side. I expect that its kicking back somewhere under my desk now. Must have hitched a ride with me into work. Unbelievable!

I love yard critters like that. I have a special fondness for froggies, but I always welcome lizards, squirrels, and other cuteys too.
Kelly: We have a squirrel that inhabits our backyard and that of the neighbors. I only wish that he would take a fews steps out of his comfort zone and clean up on all the acorns in the front yard.
Would you by any chance care for a snake?
We have lots of lizards too. They give me the creeps. I like to flick them off the screen.
Chickie: Awww. I wonder if they will one day stop eating all your spiders in protest, marching around carrying homemade signs with slogans like “Flick the spiders instead!”
Ash and Mango came over while we were gone and visited with Elaine. Mango stayed in the corner by the fig tree for a long time, and came back smelling like snake pee. Guess we have a garden snake back there somewhere. They came over today, and I puppysat for a while, so I nutwizarded (?) some. There are way too many acorns falling from this tree. Ashley thought the wizard was neat, and even used it for about 5 minutes (which filled it up). We only have those tiny lizards that get up by the outside lights. They come in the house, and then when you try to catch them and put them out, their tail comes off and wriggles like a snake. Yuck.
